"Great expense" is a relative term here, rudedog. I think we still have a long way to go to get to Everett Dirksen's "billion here, billion there" level, below 10 figures it's not much to either Microsoft or the feds. Neukom's a piker on the Microsoft multimillionaire scale, as I recall, even though he's a real long-termer. There might be real money in a settlement, but I doubt it. Civil antitrust damages might be a different story, but that's hypothetical and way down the road.

The expense probably is on the order of a modern day Hollywood blockbuster, though. Relative entertainment value? Depends on your degree of techno-geekhood, I guess. With young kids, I mostly see Disney-style family entertainment, this topic is a lot, er, richer, as it were.
