Dan,

I think the parliamentary systems have a lot to offer. If Clinton were
our prime minister, he'd probably have received a no confidence vote
earlier this year. I'd accept that, because that would be the system.

But, our game has different rules and all of us need to respect those
rules. There are bigger things at stake than Bill Clinton -- the
institution of the presidency itself, for instance. In my mind,
Clinton's perfidy is outweighed by six years of reckless attempts by
certain right-wing organizations, including Starr's office, to damage
him and the presidency. Targeting an organized crime figure is one
thing, but going after a president in such a manner is intolerable.
