Personally, I think you would probably be OK. In any case, you can upgrade after you see. The cost of computer hardware is pretty reasonable relative to the costs of trading.

1 modem = 4 trades.
1 266 PII = 8 trades.

having said that, I now run Windows NT - which is one of the more effective upgrades - with 192 Mg of RAM on a 266MHz PII and a 56k connection (actual about 48bps).
