PR Newswire, Wednesday, November 11, 1998 at 18:52

DENVER, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- New Era of Networks, Inc.(TM)
(NASDAQ:NEON), a leading provider of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
solutions, announced today its board of directors has approved a two-for-one
split of its common stock. The stock split will be effected as a stock
dividend. Stockholders of record as of the close of business on November 23,
1998, will be issued a certificate representing one additional share for each
share of common stock held on the record date. These certificates will be
distributed on December 9, 1998. The stock split will increase the number of
shares of common stock outstanding from approximately 12,340,000 shares to
approximately 24,680,000 shares.
Rick Adam, NEON's chief executive officer, stated that the board of
directors authorized the stock split principally to obtain wider distribution
and greater liquidity for the common stock.
