I agree with MM. It is sad. Working for a mining company shouldn't
turn you into a war casualty. However,given what I know of the
company's choosing sides and financing that side for arms,
a helicopter, etc., they have become identified as "the enemy".
That's the danger of these areas. The hardest task is to keep
running your operation and not becoming involved directly so
that you can make a deal with govt's.as they change and change
back again. The deal of financial support in return for concessions
may have looked good in the short term but if it draws repeated
terrorist attacks no company can function for long. Even
governments succumb to repeated attacks and sabatoge, never
mind a company. They can beef up security but all it takes is
a three man mortar crew to make life untenable. Why I prefer
investing in Canada.
