Dan your understanding of Ego is backwards. Ego is the God of the body. It dowesn't desire to become for it is. You state the Ego cannot create. It is the creator that controls you actions. It controls your thinking and gives the signal to act and the body has no right or wrong but is a machine that obeys commands from mind. As long as Ego controls mind it controls you. That is the Angel Jacob wrestled when he wrestled with God. For Christ to rise and control the mind the Ego must become nothing and allow the Christ within to control your mind. Your Ego has conquered death and will continue to be born again until it is subdued. Whether you believe or not it will happen. You have lived many lives and this belief in Jesus to save you only delays your salvation from Ego. Regardless of your faith you will never burn in any hell and neither will anyone else. You will reap what you sow and the harm of your false doctrine now, even though in ignorance and not intentional, you will be delayed into ridding the Ego until reciprocal results are experienced. Thats why I warn you to study, meditate, talk to the God you know as you talk to me. Depend on the reason and wisdom that God has given you. I do not ask you to believe anything other than what stands up to facts of truth rather than faith. Try to reason the scriptures meaning from several angles.
