if you use virtual you should NEVER EVER run "output to metastock" program! if you are, your doing something wrong.

I'm sure I'm missing something here, but I ran it once to set up which directories I wanted to automatically update. These particular directories for me are filled with "real" metastock data and not virtual. I could use the qp_lc method from the shell script (and I may yet; it keeps everything in one place), but am I potentially causing any harm here? Or doing something needlessly?

Sean, in order to output one ticker to a virtual directory don't you need to use the "output to metastock" function, followed by the "output 1 ticker" function? That's how I always do it, and don't know of another way.
