This is from Techweb. New comments on why DELL and other large players are choosing to not participate at Comdex:

"...Dell's CEO Michael Dell, who also was scheduled for a
keynote, canceled, complaining that too many keynotes
weakened the impact. Comdex will have nine keynote
addresses, which would dilute Dell's message, said a
spokesman. For the second year in a row, Dell, in
Round Rock, Texas, elected against leasing a booth.

Yet all of these vendors will use the show for customer
and partner meetings. Dell is calling its off-site media
and customer event Keynote Relief."

DELL has a great sense of humor and I'm sure they also have sound business reasons for making their decision. Wouldn't you rather party with DELL?? (or get distracted with too many other marginal performers <ggg>!!!
