Hi Bernard, I believe the stock is up based on the rumors that the IEEE forum (meeting as we speak, or rather as I type) will deadlock aong the three alternatives, and that Cable Labs is then going to propose that TERN (according to one rumor) or TERN and BRCM together(according to another) author the HI-PHY standard. There are also acquisition rumors circulating (Lucent most often mentioned). Emphasize these are RUMORS, which I am hearing third-hand (so I can't evaluate their validity, if any), but they seem pretty well circulated. There is obviously a lot of political intrigue going on!

Hi Bernard: As always, I respect and thank you for your considered comments. Yes for an old guy, I do like to live dangerously. Perhaps its is rebellion about the others my age who think bonds a good investment for us old folks - or even Bank CD's. Guess I like to be a guy marching to a different drum. Only thing is, I have found my far out ways make money which leave the "conservative" approaches in the dust consistently. The sky will fall I know. But maybe after I pass on. :-) In the meantime I have had fun. As always, best regards. Chaz PS And I just put a little money in these stocks to keep my attention. Otherwise my attention tends to wander. :-) My serious money is in a mix of LU,NT,SUNW type stocks as a base, and QCOM, QWST, etc as flyers. PPS In no way, shape or form am I suggesting that anyone else pay any attention whatsoever to what I do, and certainly am not suggesting any investment idea or stock. Cheers
