The stock looks marvelous. Unfortunately, the merchandise that you acquire from the service has been crap for me. Computer parts that are advertised as new but have definate flaws or don't work at all. After two purchases I am far from impressed.

How do you spell "irrational exuberance"?? E B A Y.

The shorts were firmly in the vise today; any talk of future growth and or revenues for EBAY must include the fact that anyone can copy their business model and many will. Keep your running shoes on and one eye on the exit.

James:

First, I am not long this stock because I think it is overvalued.

Second, eBay is growing MUCH, MUCH faster than the Internet.

There are still MANY, MANY people who already use the Internet who have yet to try eBay.

I also don't know why you think that International would only add 15 percent to eBay's revenue. (The international market has the potential to be many times that of the domestic market.

And, certainly we can expect to see eBay offer more kinds of services.

So, while there are lots of assumptions and risks, I have no reason to believe that eBay couldn't hit revenues of $10B or higher in a 10 year time frame.
