Good points, betty.

The problem is that someone like Clinton, who typifies what Bork calls "modern liberalism" is not really a liberal politically. In fact, when he headed the Democratic Leadership Conference, Clinton spearheaded the "anti-liberal" drive of the "New Democrats."

I guess I nit-pick at all these definitions because terms like "conservative" and "liberal" have gone through so many permutations over the generations that they no longer mean much of anything. Yet they continue to clutter up debate.
