Steve, I completely understand that they screwed up a
"computer upgrade" a few weeks ago, and that things at
Brown have sucked since then, as their non-web systems
got swamped. I also know that lots of their customers
are really frustrated, I've seen that on several
SI threads lately. It sounds like you, and many others,
have every right to be frustrated - I probably would be
too...

I was just suggesting they get a little break on this one,
given that a fire is probably not their fault, and
definately out of their control.

As a point of reference, at 1:15pm CST today I was able
to get in to:
1) their Web site
2) their PC Direct system (direct modem dial up), and
3) their "DirectLine" touch-tone phone trading system.

I didn't try a trade, but was able to change my password,
and view my portfolio (I'm a new Brown customer, just got
my "new customer" packet -- wish me luck :-).

Best of luck to you, I'm sure there are many good brokers
out there.
