This is a travesty. Intel's NSP software was a virus that made Windows perform like molasses. It required 500K of locked memory (an unheard of amount back then), interfered with the Win95 thread scheduler, caused interrupt processing problems on slower systems, and generally chewed up huge amounts of CPU resources. People can complain as much as they'd like about Microsoft software, but poor VxDs and device drivers only make things worse. The events of that time are greatly mischaracterized by Mr. McGeady. Mike
