Tip, Lots of questions. Let's see if I have some answers. No, I am not a market timer because I don't play the market. But, with puts, I play the most overpriced sectors of the market and they are the ones most able and most willing to tell the Xmas lies every year. So, the market may go up, down or sideways, but I think the scamsters like the internet stocks, the pc related stocks, the comm tech stocks, the banks, etc., are going to try to put a positive spin on every piece of news. Xmas is the big event that will take all their excess capacity.

Now, it takes a while for the herd to figure out that they are in the slaughterhouse instead of cow-a-bunga massage emporium, where they thought they were heading.

Yes, I almost always stagger my thirds both as to price and time.

However, I do consider Xmas a special time of the year. No mfr., retailer or services co. thinks they are going to have anything but a great Xmas. So, they overproduce and overorder and overbudget. Every year the herd buys into the euphoria. And, nearly every year, it collapses in the Dec-Jan period. Since I already hold a third in place in case I am wrong, I want to wait for the boobeouisie to take the most overpriced stocks to even sillier levels.
