I did put a <g> in my question.

I'm just curious as to why you think there would be one individual responsible. Lots of ideas are adopted which no one specifically endorses, someone just starts doing it and others follow. I may be wrong, but I bet it would be highly unlikely for anyone to be able to find the one individual responsible for two digit dates.

Hey CB,

I'm one of those dweebs (hope not (g)) who's retired from a defunct company. In my teens, I wrote a commercial property management system. I distinctly recall doing two digit date subtraction. No way was my software going to be used for more that 10-15 years. I imagine it might still be... uh oh!

There isn't any one person responsible.... programming is somewhat of an art, and everyone does it differently.

Just a note.

Richard
