Gottfried, I am surprised that no one on this site has noticed for the first time since approx. February the Semi-Equipment Sector has moved from the IBD 197 Group ranking (Industrial Group Ranking) to 144th in todays 11/9/98 paper, page A23 and AMAT's Group Ranking of "D" today from "E" last Friday.

AMAT Relative Strength movement as again moved upward from 63 earlier this month to 78 today.

IMO, it appears when considering the above data and Dorsey Wrights TA, market, sector and Amat data, that the semi-equip. and AMAT is moving up. If the computer sector and the semiconductor manufacturer sectors lead the semi-equip sector by 6 months then the Semi-equip. sector and AMAT looks bright.

Question: Is the impeachment hearing having a negative impact on the market today?

Just my opinions.

Paul V.

GM, I sure wish Aki, BB, and Teri would come back to the thread.
Even though I didn't agree with them very often, I must admit their
contributions are sorely missed.
