Pallisard, my take is that Roberts believes that
the options will be worth a great deal. If the
projected earnings per production line are anything
like FMK and others have projected, and the lines
are running, and contracts with buyers are in the
works, then an $18 price (this was the 'best guess
fair value' per the old Red Chip review analyst
published about 12 months ago), is quite reasonable.

If the price goes to $18, then Roberts will be up
a cool million. Seems like damn good motivation to
me! I don't expect there is any or much cash
payment to directors, which is why i believe Roberts
believes he's getting in on the ground floor of
something which could be a big success within the
next year or so.

As you say, he probably has many opportunities and so
is only likely to accept those which are particularly
promising.

Possibly a potential customer expects directorship to be on a par with the level of the business they are intending to give VLNC.
