Jen, it looks like SI screwing up again. What's been happening to me to-day goes like this. You will suddenly get a message box that says something like "Server has returned illegal message..." while going thru SI messages. Then you cannot access ANY other link, SI or otherwise. Open another browser window and the link you are trying to get to is fine. Kill the original browser window and keep going. I'm on MSIE 4.0 on NT 4.0.
