banco $ - exactly - these sales started in the late 70s - the gold mining industry tried in vain to get the Bank of C. to stop - to no avail - somewhat like the situation in Australia with the recent sale - the twisted logic there was unbelievable 'well we still have all those reserves in the ground'!! Never mind, that the Aussie action led to a general slide in price - they raised millions from the sale - and the reserves went down by billions. QED E
