Colin, Just don't want others to waste time as I did.

Application was sent in and returned. You cannot use their on-line system to trade an IRA. You would have to call in each order. The reason cited is that, by definition, all on-line accounts are margin accounts, and, obviously, an IRA cannot be margined. It is a short-coming in their system which they hope to fix. In the meantime, they don't tell you until after you waste your time to send in the paperwork. The "silly" language will continue to be periodically posted until MB Trading either fixes the problem or provides a warning on their web site so folks don't have to waste their time.

I apologize to MB Trading.

As amazing as it is to me, I've talked to several organizations in the last week and I cannot find anyone that allows you to use their software in conjunction with an IRA. The consistent response is that you have to call in your trades. Ugly!

If anyone is using real time software with an IRA, I'd sure like to hear about it!
