Sean, I am impressed with your knowledge in your post to me and to Webb. But I think that there should be an easier, more user friendly way to add a ticker to a directory, like, for example, a function that is as easy as: "output 1 ticker to a virtual directory", you type in the ticker, and voila.
Gary, perhaps this is something that you can consider adding. thanks


Certainly a valid request. I just never use the output 1 symbol function.

This is what I would have said but Richards method seems the best::

You are making this a lot harder than it is..
Just take a list that already exists and edit the contents to reflect the stock or stocks you want to add . Use the profile and drop this list into the respective virtual profile where you want to track these stocks..Same procedure you used to create the virtual files in the first place, I hope..Process is well defined in the QP manual..
