<< Considering the Star tac is 40% lighter and has a battery life 4X longer is a death blow for the Qphone. >>

I was searching and looking for the spec sheet for this CDMA Star tac on Motorola website and come up empty. I don't think it is even listed. Even with GSM/Amp Star tac I could not even found a spec on weight or battery life. Their website is terrible if you ask me. I like Nokia and Qcom sites much better they clearly listed all the specs for you. I could be way off but if someone could come up with the actual specs sheet like the Q800 phone then pls post so we can all get a direct comparision.

Let's compare why dont we. We are talking about a premium phone. These
phones will be compared on it's spec's. The average joe will ask what is the standby time? what is the Weight? I know those are the first two thing's I look for. Beside's you are missing my point, Qcom's phone is really going to get upstaged. If Qcom want's to take market share down the line they need to blow people away. Since nobody know's about Qcom outside of San Diego. This phone is weak at best!

Everyone can keep making excuses for why the Qcom product's are OK and competitive. However Qcom need's to do a 6160 ala Nokia in CDMA to be succesfull. OK is not OK in my book. I think the Dual mode regular QCP
is a very good product also. It to is getting to feel the pressure. The new Samsung and Korean Phones are begining to get very competitive. We still have a market where there is way to much demand, Therfore Qcom is selling all it's phones. In a year or so I think that will begin to change. Qcom must improve it's handset division or get out of that end of the business.

IMO this argument is BS. When I upgraded from the previous model to my current, the operating time went up to about x 6. BIG difference. No more dead phone if you once forget to charge, no more spare batteries and charger in the pocket or the brief case.

Size does matter. But not as much as endurance. That's also what 2.5 bn women say. They can't all be wrong.
