I can't believe the number of "poor" posts on this thread.

This is not the Yahoo! message board, folks.

There are about three of you who really scare me. If you are adults (and I have my doubts), I can't imagine you wasting so many keystrokes to say so little. All I read is people bitching at one another, bragging about how they made so much money shorting Geron, and how the other guy is a dick.

GROW UP!

I am willing to admit I was right once (long at $18, sold at $23.5 on Friday) and wrong once (I said I thought Geron would rise to $19-20 in the morning on Monday). I made a whopping $5,500 on the trade.

Trading a volatile stock like Geron isn't easy. I still expect at some point (hopefully this morning) Geron will rise. But I damn well am not going to get on Silicon Investor and say I know where this stock is going.

I heard both of the CEOs bits on CNBC. He was reasonable, articulate, and never once "hyped" the stock. He NEVER said one thing about the stock's rise, in fact he declined to answer a question about it (wise man). He is a PhD and an MD.

Geron stock has been through this (wild ride up, followed by a crash) before. So many of you seem to think this is the key piece of information you hold in your sweaty little hand. I can tell you that you need to open your brain and consider the possibility that this time could be a lot different. Almost everyone on this (amateur investor) thread is short Geron stock as I write this. Doesn't that make you wonder if we are not due for a quick run to the upside this morning?

My 2 cents.
