Dale,

<<It's interesting to me however, that they're going to come out with an external version first, while the internal version is scheduled for Q199>>

Especially interesting considering they had maintained, from the earliest product announcement at COMDEX last year, that they would focus exclusively on OEM agreements. I still think the OEMs have turned them off on a cost basis but I only have hints of that. If so it is a very good sign for Iomega IMO. I really wonder if the OEMs feel so strongly about backward compatibility still?

Something tells me that Sony's HiFD plan has gone through a redirect in the recent past.

best,
Stitch
