Anyone looking at BAMM (Books-a-Million)?

"Books-A-Million, Inc. is principally engaged in the sale of books, magazines and related items through a chain of over 165 retail bookstores in 17 states (as of 1/98). BAMM also serves as a wholesale book distributor."

Price rose 9/32 to 3 1/32 on a significant volume surge on Monday...no news on Yahoo...BAMM thread is dead.

According to Yahoo, Book Value is $5.91, EPS=.32, Float=11.5 vs 17.4M Outstanding.

Short interest is negligible...only 26,322.

Maybe consolidation speculation resulting from Barnes & Noble buying Ingram? Speculation that Amazon.com will cut a deal with them since Ingram is a primary distributor for Amazon.com?

Chart looks like it might keep going.
