Speaking of DVD recorders/players, TDK will bring us a little closer. TDK will demonstrate a working prototype of its new 4.7GB DVD-RW disk at COMDEX Fall 98. I can't say for sure what the royalties are for each disc. I get the impression that it may or may not vary (maybe I'm getting confused with the batteries). Can someone help me out here? I wasn't under the impression that the DVD recorder/players were as expensive as you mentioned ($15K). Is that an old figure? With regards to rewritable CDs, I think someone here on the thread had mentioned at one time, that we would receive some royalties. I don't know what the amount is per disk on these either (maybe the same as DVD). If someone doesn't give us a quick refresher on the numbers, I'll try going back on the previous posts and see what was mentioned.
