I have learned to be slow in adding positions and that it is alright to take some smaller 3x or 4x profits along the way. Split up bets and buy the next round only after it looks completely hopeless, except from a fundamental standpoint.

Probably most important: when investor interest is waning and fundamentals are terrible -- don't settle for a small profit. Trust your intuition. Threw away (took much smaller profit) 2 very large gainers by going against my gut feeling.

Even MM knows deep down that BK is not HS and that the current valuations will be readjusted. Keep on, but pick targets carefully and make bets that are small. Important not to lose capital.

AR,

I think Tip summarized my feelings as well about the "market" (more like a casino).

All I can say is the dearth of cash acquisition deals should tell the world about current valuations. I have done acquisition reviews in my job over the years.. I can guarantee that current valuations were not in any model I ever worked with.

that said, I will buy calls selectively on any reasonable dip until the mania is over. gotta make some beer money ya know -g-
