I have seen two ads on the internet in the last two days for the Palm III. One was on the Micron Electronics web page (as the featured product)and another ad was on techweb.com .

Does JAWZ need to add anything to it's current internet ads to indicate that it is compatible with Palm III?

Hi Wooly

I'm not sure that I can completely define Jaws' marketing strategy. For retail sales, I know that they have targeted at least 6 On-Line stores and some (I don't know which) "normal" retail outlets.

On the corporate side, the idea of doing a security audit for the businesses that they are dealing with is a cornerstone of their marketing strategy. Do the audit, make the recommendations, close the sale. I know that they are teaming up with a couple of highly visible companies that will give the audit some credibility. Unfortunately, I can't say too much more right now.

To Walter, in the business plan, the company says that Jaws has "portability" to the Mac. I'm assuming that means that it wouldn't be too hard to develop a working product for Apple - but I'm sure that it's not a priority item. And as far as smart cards are concerned, Calypso was bang on. I'm surprised that with all of your investigations of Jaws that you didn't see that on the website. Remember, the company's claim is strong, speedy and small, the three Ss.

Wins Industry Recognition????

Is Internet Business Magazine an authority on encryption? Is Internet Business Magazine a member of the Encryption Software Dealers Association?

Is E & Y a recognized leader in encryption software evaluation? When E & Y says "encryption" do people stop and listen?

If JAWZ actually has a deal with E & Y to sell JAWZ's software, you can be sure that E & Y is going to get a commission. I would expect that E & Y will only have good things to say about JAWZ.
