IMHO, Internet mania is way, way past the biotech boom. Many biotechs of that time have now eclipsed the 1992 highs, on solid fundamentals. For example, NRGN is about at it's 1992 high, even though progress has been very slow in its trials and the stock is not widely followed. And many smart people (and dumb people like me <g>) think it is underpriced here. Biotech stocks did not go up nearly as much as these Internet stocks, and did not reach as absurd a valuation level. I seriously doubt we will be able to say that about any of this Web garbage. Sorry for the rant . . .
