"We ALWAYS {well, almost, see below} sell the calls right" . I won't accuse you of extreme ego either ;-) I wish I always (or even almost always) did things right.
The fact that you are (were?) considering buying back the calls suggested to me that your discipline was to try to maximize the gains. Given that your goal is conservative of just taking the steady profit, it seems pretty clear you should just stick to the discipline and let whatever happens happen.
I'm in a similar spot but slightly trickier right now with DELL. I sold Nov 70 calls a while back. DELL is going up, the premium is going down. What would anyone suggest if I had sold Nov 50 ASND calls? (just to keep it on topic).
Sorry if I come across arrogant. Just recently started posting on SI (been lurking long) and have found people here more sensitised to the exact wording than I expected.
