Hutch - isn't it true that gold is the only reserve asset that isn't someone else's liability? Also in a post to Marcos you seemed to be saying that if there was more gold we would have a more valuable currency and suggesting that our weak currency is good for exports. I would have thought that a weak currency is an intrinsically bad idea , one can rationalise it all one wants. E
