Alan...Spare us with the rhetoric, "RMBS is going to need facts in the form of hard earnings before we see quantum jumps". If this is true take a look at any number of companies many of which are in the internet industry. Markets have and always will move in advance of "hard earnings", in fact many stocks move down in the face of "hard earnings" when they are reported.

Thanks Alan, wasn't sure what you meant. The $15 (and then some) jumps that we're seeing on some of the internet stocks are coming from, imo, very ill timed established short positions getting crushed. I haven't checked RMBS short position since last month, but my recollection was that it wasn't particularly heavy. We had that "mini selloff" last week on heavy volume when it dropped $4, and we're back over where it was when that started. I think REH was right, but without heavy buying, we'll have to settle for the $2 advances <g>
