chuzzlewit, believe he is referring to stochastics:

several prof. programs are registering the following (this comes from stkwtch.com - charting is not foolproof by any means, witness ebay)

Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD) indicates a BULLISH TREND
Chart pattern indicates a POSSIBLE TREND REVERSAL
Relative Strength is BULLISH
Up/Down volume pattern indicates that the stock is under DISTRIBUTION
The 50 day MOVING AVERAGE is rising which is BULLISH
The 200 day MOVING AVERAGE is rising which is BULLISH
LOOK FOR SUPPORT AT 58.34
Stochastics indicate stock is OVERBOUGHT

RECOMMENDATION

STOCK SHOWS STRONGLY IMPROVING CONDITIONS SCORE = 3
IF YOU ARE SHORT THIS STOCK CONSIDER COVERING OR MONITOR STOCK CLOSELY
STOCK IS NOT A BUY CANDIDATE

Paul: I see I am quite 'under-bought' in Dell shares so much so that I am thinking some 'over-buying'.<vbg>

I've always wondered why you have
so little use for TA especially given
the fact that yours is a technical
financial background...isn't it?
Under what circumstances would you
employ it in making investment and/or
trading decisions?
I know, I know, not a simple question...
you may limit your answer to 500
pages or less! <g>

TIA
*******the other thing I wanted to ask you
about was the Forrester report, but I won't.
