Intel Investors - Here's the Full E-Commerce Press Release from Intel

My guess is that this represents a lower cost way of Intel doing business as opposed to an absolute increase in overall business levels.

Intel sees $2.5 bln in Q4 e-commerce revs

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Intel Corp. expects $2.5 billion in
revenues from online sales in the fourth quarter, compared with nil a year ago, Paul Otellini, head of the architecture business group for the world's largest computer chipmaker, said on Tuesday.

The $2.5 billion would exceed the company's own internal goal of $1 billion, Otellini told Reuters in an interview.

Intel executive Sean Maloney will disclose further details of the company's e-commerce strategy on Friday when Intel meets with industry analysts in San Francisco.

Intel's online sales include such things as computer chips, chipsets and flash memory chips.

Intel stock was up 2-11/16 at 98-11/16 in afternoon trading on Nasdaq.

Paul and thread,

Thanks for the news. Maybe I'll refrain from trimming my INTC holdings for a while longer <BG>.

Paul,

This message is from the Yahoo SQNT board...

Paul Otellini gave a presentation at Oracle Open World today and that a replay is available after 6pm PST at

Casey Powell of Sequent was called to center stage to announce new TPC-C benchmark results of Sequent's 64 Xeon processor NUMAQ-2000.

Maybe those jubliant Intel(INTC just preannounced that 4th quarter earnings will be better than expected)shareholders could buy a few shares of Sequent's still depressed stock.
