Intel sees $2.5 bln in Q4 e-commerce revs

Tuesday November 10, 3:02 pm Eastern Time

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Intel Corp. expects $2.5 billion in revenues from online sales in the fourth quarter, compared with nil a year ago, Paul Otellini, head of the architecture business group for the world's largest computer chipmaker, said on Tuesday.

The $2.5 billion would exceed the company's own internal goal of $1 billion, Otellini told Reuters in an interview.

Intel executive Sean Maloney will disclose further details of the company's e-commerce strategy on Friday when Intel meets with industry analysts in San Francisco.

Intel's online sales include such things as computer chips, chipsets and flash memory chips.

Intel stock was up 2-11/16 at 98-11/16 in afternoon trading on Nasdaq.
