Here's a scenario: Suppose one or two of the LP's have shorted against the box as Ray has suggested. Flips before expiration pushing the price on the stock higher and the 7.5's further into the money. Not bad work if you can get it.

Over 16,000 were bought, I should have said.

You were just as right the first time. I sold my GGQBU ( Jan $7.5 calls) today as it was the highest I expect them to be and also it was a nice profit. There were just as many sellers as buyers so why try to put a positive spin on this?
