[Advanced Radio Telecom Appoints Steven C. Tarr as Vice President, Information Technology]

BELLEVUE, Wash., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Radio Telecom Corp. announced today that effective November 2, Steven C. Tarr joined ART as vice president, information technology. ART is a facilities-based broadband Internet Services Provider.

"We are extremely pleased that Steve is joining ART at this dynamic period in our company's evolution," said Ron Olexa, ART executive vice president and chief technology officer. "He is an accomplished and well-respected IT professional, with more than 20 years of experience in the development, implementation and management of information systems for telecommunications applications. His hiring is indicative of our commitment to build an outstanding and highly experienced management team."

Tarr was most recently vice president of information technology for Air Touch Cellular, also headquartered in Bellevue, where his division served approximately 2.5 million customers, with annual revenues of $1.5 billion. Tarr had worked the previous 12 years with U S WEST, where he last served as director of information technology for U S WEST NewVector Group. Tarr holds a doctorate in Systems Science from Portland State University, and a master's degree in Computer Science and a bachelor's degree in General Biology from Washington State University.
