<"I appreciate that Tim makes statements that this is not what's going on here, and hopefully we can see some proof of that by seeing these stocks actually increase in price."> Shane, I'm afraid you're making an invalid assumption, there - a price increase will neither prove nor disprove your hypothesis. For what it's worth, though, I'll give you a skeptical lurker's opinion. I have seen a wealth of posts from Tim since well before I actually joined SI (he has always been a prolific poster). While he is as capable of error as any one of us, and while he may have a tendency to highlight positions he currently holds, I have seen little reason to suspect him of active pumping and dumping. On the contrary, I have seen him bend over backwards, much more than I would think reasonable, to avoid the impression of pumping and dumping. He has been particularly careful, I note, since some bad experiences (e.g., MTEI) and since starting this thread. Of course, I believe everyone is safer with a "caveat emptor" philosophy, anyway. Tim is always correct, about either a stock, or the timing of its movements (nor does he). My perception is that his record is better than many others I've seen, but hardly perfect. I'm sure he can recall some disappointments for you if you'd like. And frankly, I've successfully shorted some of his picks. But when he's hot, he's very hot (he's been pretty hot this week). I suspect he would be the first to tell you that the responsibility for acting upon any of the stocks mentioned in his thread and for performing the required due diligence is yours and yours alone. He runs an excellent thread, which provides some excellent research suggestions and trading discussion. Sometimes it looks a bit more like a day-trading forum than a position-trading forum, but how relevant is such a distinction, anyway? He is a catalyst and has managed to gather a number of disparate and thoughtful posters to the thread, most of whom appear to be making positive contributions. I have gotten enough out of the thread, if I just consider the research suggestions that people throw out, that I feel guilty I don't have more time to become a more active participant. But judge the thread for yourself, using whatever criteria are appropriate for you.
