Just a hunch, but I think CYMI is ready to explode.

* The chip stocks are flying. Witness Intel and their announcement.
* The equip stocks always pick up before you can see business picking up.
* As business picks up for the chip companies, they will accelerate their capital spending plans.
* Our baby owns the keys to making chips smaller, faster cheaper.
* 10% of the float is short. As Zeev says, some of this is hedged against the convertibles, but some of it isn't and will have to cover.
* Cymer's volume has been low lately. All of the sellers are gone. When the buyers come back, they will do so with a vengence. Where else can they get virtually guaranteed 50% EPS growth for the foreseeable future. Note that this is from their old level of roughly $1/year.
* This may sound wildly silly, but $75 to $100 share is not out of the realm of possibilities for a year from now. All it will take is a pickup in orders to where $1.50 is a decent shot for 2000.
