Hi Greg,

It's all about controlling the APIs. That's why Java was/is perceived as a threat.

I don't like a lot of things about MSFT but I like the DOJ even less.

The key is in the copyright laws, not the antitrust laws.

FWIW
Andy

I have been forced over the years to use MSFT applications because corporations are affriad other application will not be compatible and require to much technical support.

Yeh,
You are forced to use MSFT's application because your company chooses MSFT instead of Lotus/Corel.

You are forced to use PC because your company chooses PC instead of Solarise.

You are forced to work in your company's office instead of some 5-start hotel room.

You are forced to drink Coke instead of Pepsi in MacDonnald and drink Pepsi instead of Coke in Abey.

You made your choices, you live with your choices and restrictions. You can't have them all.
