<Hate to rain on your parade folks, but since Oct. 8:

IOM up 150%
AMD up 100%
NSM up 90%

Even lowly IDTI is up 50%!>

Yeah, but you sure wouldn't consider any of these stocks to be bellweathers, would you?

I have a few small caps semis that are up in the 100+ % stated over the last month or so, however they were all down by 50% or more in the past year whereas Intel was not. In the end, Intel has been one of my better investments. Steady and so far has always come through.

Scumbria, I have one question that I always ask when I hear people talking about big runups by "broken" stocks. How much did you buy? I know I don't have the guts to put anywhere near as much on the nose of a broken down nag, as I would on a thoroughbred. So, I personally always make more on the thoroughbreds, given they make a decent run.

Tony

Obviously stocks that have been badly beaten will have more of a pop than those that have been holding better during the recent volatility.

Compare these stocks to their all time highs and Intel will stand out solid.

Shahen Petrosian.

RE: Raining on parade

If you start prone, flat on the floor (close to book), even getting into a squatting position looks much higher. However, starting from a crouch, a 25% increase is pretty good, without ever experiencing the disgrace of being knocked flat on the floor.

Scumbria,
So, with your investment model I would assume you are jumping into KTEL, as well. It's way up.
