Roger, it's not too late to short Ktel tomorrow. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to borrow shares from Dreyfus 30 min before the close when the squeeze and short covering was in full force. Today Ktel did a Geron on Friday, I have a feeling tomorrow Ktel will be like Geron yesterday and so on. On the down side, I was a day early shorting EBAY at 100 1/2 yesterday :-(. No more Ebay shares today. But Ktel serves me OK.

Regards,

Tom

Hi, Roger.

Glad to see you here alive.

Absolutely no idea what AG will tell us next time. My estimates range from the "irrational exuberance", doing a killing again to indicating an ease. If the market is wild enough till, the first will happen.

There are some stocks I shorted on a paper basis, like KTEL recently as there are no stocks to lend. So the paper book is off as KTEL ate up the equity (sure, if GERN acted like that, the real book was half dead, but - it didn't). And I've learned a lot. The AMZN short doesn't fare well, either even it shed remarkable $7 in half an hour.

To make the thing worse, I covered most of my geron (it is off 50% of it high now) and shorted earthlink (ELNK), we don't need to discuss internut's fundamentals any more, it is a trading short. Lucky to get in bits above the days low at $52, but we'll see. It should return to the $42 base it build recently in the short run.

Was quite funny to watch the race between INKT and EBAY today, for a long time the prices were identical, so the have shown up heads-on heads on net gainers lists with the identical today's lows/highs.

Roger,

Old shorters have covered and got killed, yet they are quitely replaced by new short sellers. I see that the short interest in YHOO! and Ebay going up today as evidenced by not able to borrow shares from several internet discount brokerage houses.

And don't forget that Nasdaq are about to shoot up 30+ points tomorrow. INTC is going to set a new 52-week high. DELL is going to test 75, and MSFT & CSCO are about the break the old highs within days.

In such environment, I do see internet issues skyrocketing again. Issues like Ebay looks to have another 20-30 points to go before a mini-crash, YHOO! is gonna test 200 within the next two sessions.

larry!

<<Fortunately I have been unable to find short shares on EBAY. >>

I was about to congratulate you on your good fortune NOT to have found any, but now I see it has dropped after gaining about 5 points earlier. A mere 12 point range today. What a roller coaster.

YHOO has a ten point range so far.
