This thread is too quiet.

Where are all the postings to speculate on the price movements this week? Doesn't anyone have opinion why the price has moved out of its 105-107 range of last week?

I would speculate it is for two reasons:
1) The Bullishness of PC partners INTC and DELL has spilled over with investors.
2) The DOJ evidence phase is wrapping up, which means the case put forward is likely to have little more in the way of surprises. The accusations are almost fully known now by the public, which substantially reduces the remaining legal risks. It would not be too surprising to see the P/E grow to around 60 by December.

I've been mostly long on this stock this year, however, I'm not buying right now and here's why:
1) Although the latest MSFT earnings report showed excellent earnings growth, I did not like the revenue report, which actually DROPPED quarter-to-quarter. The prospect of owning a stock with a PE of 60 and slowing revenue growth scares me, in spite of the MSFT historical price momentum.
2) I've seen Reno's organization do some strange things before and I'm not about to stand in front of her until the coast is clear.

BTW Andy, I don't think MSFT will write apps for BeOS anytime soon.
