You know it's pretty sad when we have to ask if the shorts will pump this stock. We shouldn't have to rely on a debenture conversion to get a run out of it, should we? All TPI has to do is announce new contracts and show that money is coming in the door. They haven't really done that as of yet. It's hard to believe that the price of this stock is totally at the mercy of Thomson Kernaghan.

Yes, I think there will be several little runs before they go out of business.

It appears there are two distinct groups of people with cross purposes working the stock now. One group is selling and knocking the hell out of the price (dumping converted shares?) and the other group is buying heavily (covering their shorts?). Whoever runs out of shares first will decide our fate.

AChan: I think you misunderstood me. The 35,000 shares was a market order rather than a limit order so they took a beating. I'm not criticizing the fact that they sold - it was just the WAY they sold that I found strange. Market orders are bad enough but placing a market order before the open is suicide.
