Kip, The base is being built in gold and gold mining shares, there are plenty of bullish divergences developing in this area. Maybe we are close to the bottom of the Kondreitief cycle, I don't know, that would be good for everybody, but it doesn't seem likely that the US would be unscathed while most of the globe is in recession/depression, who knows. The breakout of the narrow trading band in the CRB will explain all, it should come soon, the bollingers are starting to pinch. A break down will mean more deflationery pressures and paper assets will have to follow. That German Baron has been accumulating HM for a long time now. I guess he's like Buffett, a conservative buy and hold investor. Me, I wish I had bought EBAY over the last month -g- bb
