Price of 64-Megabit DRAMs Recovers on Output Cut, KED Says Seoul, Nov. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Prices of 64-megabit dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips rebounded to $10.20 each as of yesterday from $9.52 at the end of last month, as Korean and Japanese semiconductor makers reduced output since July, the Korea Economic Daily reported, citing Hyundai Electronics Industries Co. managing director Han Chang Suk and industry sources. The paper quoted Han as saying Hyundai is in talks with clients about raising its prices for the first quarter of next year. Chip prices hovered around $9.60 in the past three months after falling to as low as $8.89 at the end of July, it said. Samsung Electronics Co., Hyundai Electronics and LG Semicon Co., South Korea's top three semiconductor makers, have been shutting down plants for a week every month since July to prop up falling computer chip prices.
