In what is probably a harbinger of things to come, 3Com Corp., with
perhaps the best known modem brand name, U.S. Robotics, and
Tele-Communications Inc., the country's largest MSO, said they would
leverage each other's strengths to launch cable modem retail sales in
the Spokane, Wash., market.
