GR, Unfortunately what we pay, is what we get as service....DATEK is flooded at market open with all daytraders wanting to get in...same at the close trying to get out...you should see the action at some of the daytrading booths set up all over the country now...(small companies with tens of people sitting around their PC paying by the hour..!!!) Their one exceptional feature of updating the balance realtime and making the money available to you immediately for trading is what attracting all the daytraders like bees to a nectar. They should get more servers..until then, we have to put up with it...(they usually waive the commission even on limit orders, if the order qualifies for buy/sell but was executed inordinately late.. Well i was called today,and again had to hear the crap about a 6 minute time delay for a market sell order as the stock was moving up.I have the distinct feeling their is a clever scam going on,whereby someone is making millions.I sold as the stock was moving up not down.(i bought ktel at 30,was 31-32 when they recieved it,by their own admission) i got filled at market 6 minutes later at 26. Are there lots of us getting lost in cyberspace and getting fleeced? We would have to prove that there is either negligence or fraud if we were ever to get any monies back.I think these guys give the word gross incompetence new meaning.
