The grandmother of a guy that works with me has bought eBay and is making a lot of money. She is 80 years old and has a notepad and a pencil. We are portfolio managers for a mutual fund and manage $ billions. We have Bloomberg, Reuters, Barra, Pentium IIs, etc. None of us would touch the eBay. She is making a ton of money and told my friend to watch Excite! and Lycos. They are next. We wouldn't touch them either, but we know she will make a bundle with those too. Go figure.
