Please pardon my ignorance here, but......

<<Ampex Corporation has introduced a new data recorder that enables users to store and forward ATM telecommunications through its SONET-compatible interface.

The new DIS™ 162i is also designed for telemetry, radar, simulation, remote sensing and imaging applications. Its recording capabilities allow for 50, 150 or 330GB native capacity per small, medium or large tape cartridge, and a sustained computer data transfer rate of 20MB/sec.>>

Is that not ATM as in bank ATM's? Isn't the banking industry consolidating rapidly just as ATM's continue to proliferate? Doesn't that mean a need for a far greater degree of centralized data storage? Could the banks then become a new and valuable customer? Day dreaming here, or is that one of the areas AXC is shooting for? Would welcome any thoughts or comments.
